Bouncing [FFXVI]

littlewolfteeth(Like I said. I dig the domestication vibe for these two. Also, never mind the walking at 8pm. I shall go swimming straight after work instead - it's too hot for my dogs anyways.)

It takes a while for Clive to finally track Jill down.
“Last I heard, our Lady Jill was in the washroom to wash the fabrics and linen.” An unharried Bearer informs him.
When Clive opens the door Jill flinches. She isn’t washing material like he was told but instead working a stitch into a garment.
“Oh, hello Clive,” she says as she pauses to give him a smile.
“I heard you needed help washing clothes but it looks like you’re doing something else…” Clive tapers off.
“Actually, I do have a small pile left over by that washing basin if you really do want to help.”
“I do.”
Just as he sets to washing a shirt in the soapy basin, Mid bursts through the door, bouncing on her feet. Excited by something she’s made, no doubt. “Clive! Lady Jill!”
Jill smiles and tilts her head down in a small bow.
“Er, Clive. I didn’t realize you had an interest in banal domestication tasks but I have something for you to see!” she says as she bounces from foot to foot.
“I’ll be there as soon as I’m finished!” Clive calls over his shoulder. Mid disappears as large amounts of soap start to get all over him. Jill smiles softly to herself as she kneels down besides him to wipe a rather large soap sud in his hair away.
Clive’s smile is warm at first but it grows mischievous as he looks to the water and then back to her. Her eyes widen in sudden understanding. “Clive, no!” Jill takes off at a run with Clive grabbing at the air.
